How to Lower Your Auto Insurance Premium in Colorado

Looking to switch to a more affordable auto insurance policy? Here are some tips for Colorado drivers to lower costs.

Get Multiple Quotes and Compare

To get a good deal on car insurance, the first thing you’ll want to do is check out different plans across carriers. Since prices can fluctuate from year to year, comparing options can save you a lot of money. You can even use online tools to find a plan that fits your needs in no time!

Be a Good Driver

Many insurance providers will offer special rates for safe drivers, since they’ll be less likely to incur costs. Good driver discounts typically require customers to be incident-free for a given number of years, depending on the carrier, and can range from 10-40% off.

Find Discounts and Bundles

When’s the last time you looked for auto insurance discounts? Odds are, there are plenty of programs you haven’t even heard of. Some popular examples include new car discounts for those driving new vehicles, defensive driver discounts for those who’ve taken a defensive driving course, or even good student discounts for those who meet a minimum GPA.

If you have multiple insurance policies, you can also often save money by bundling them. Look into combining your home and auto insurance, or putting multiple cars in your household under one policy.
